Parents are an invaluable and integral part of our community. They are our partners in teaching-learning, not only as resource persons for special occasions but also in ensuring the success of our online classes during the pandemic. We take family collaboration in the school a step further, by involving grandparents and other family members in our celebrations.
Keeping in mind the social and emotional needs of toddlers, the true essence at Bloomingdales Playschool lies in the transparency that we maintain with parents. We follow a unique practice of video recording the progress of each child at every stage and sending it to the parents.
My daughter Ms. Maanya Navalkar was in Sr.KG- B this last academic year. The past year has been tough for all, especially children. It was a task to make them adjust to the new normal and more so to ONLINE SCHOOLING. And I am glad to share that the teachers' of Bloomingdale's Pre-Primary have done a fabulous job to make children feel comfortable in all aspects. I, like many other parents was apprehensive initially with the whole 'Online" approach, since my child was just 5 yrs of age. The concern of their span of attention and screen time was bothering. But the way these online classes were conducted were exceptional. The patience and diligence of the teachers is truly commendable. The differnet teaching methods used by teachers not only kept the kids happy and attentive but the screen time was also well-managed giving enough breaks in between the class. Special mention to Mrs. Shilpa Mehta teacher, as she was very patient with each and every child. Hats off ! to her. The way every concept was taught was so well. These years are stepping stones for our kid's future & I am glad that Maanya had such a wonderful teacher during her formative years. Thank you again to the entire Bloomingdale's Pre-Primary team

We thought it would be a good opportunity for us to share feedback regarding the online class and the course content. Admittedly, it's been a very different academic year for all of us, with the advent of online schooling. One good thing to emerge from this experience was Riana's (and our) liking for the MusiCanopy songs. The songs were lovely, the music soothing and the experience educational. We've also enjoyed dancing to those tunes even after school hours. We would like to thank the school for including this unique concept in the curriculum. Thanks again from both of us

We’ve been attending the Playschool online classes, and this is just a message of appreciation for the work being put in by the teachers. I’m sure it’s not easy to put out meaningful content day after day! Today’s activity was to introduce the children to the colour yellow, and we were asked to keep some stationery handy. The class was especially smooth owing to the fact that we were given detailed instructions yesterday itself by Ms Jharna. That helped me to set up a ‘workstation’ for Ranbir in readiness for today. I’ve especially noticed the sheer enthusiasm with which all the teachers not just make and share videos, but also engage the children with music and dance in class. It’s not easy; especially knowing that you have parents watching! Would make anyone nervous! Please do convey my gratitude to the teachers.

I would like to take this opportunity to share below feedback on this new normal way of learning/online learning: Teachers have really done a splendid job in creating a bond with the children inspite of not being physically around them. The patience and compassion that the teachers demonstrate while dealing with the parents as well as the kids is truly commendable. The way each learning session has been designed by the teachers like introduction of a new concept and then making the children learn it in every possible way including music, dance, storytelling, art activities etc. keeps the children engaged in the session. Every small feedback shared by the parents during the year like reducing the material requirements for the week, giving more detailed instructions about the activities planned for the week, specify the counts of material required, have been cordially welcomed and incorporated by the teachers. to conclude I would like to thank each one of you for your efforts and support to foster the growth of our children and help them not miss school in this pandemic situation. Wishing you all the best for the coming years. Stay safe everyone.
As always, Bloomingdales Playschool ensures that its students have fun while learning. Through the dance activity which was obviously well planned and subsequently executed, the teachers infused the session with enthusiasm and vibrancy, whilst teaching the children about the festival of Navratri. Yet again, we are humbled by the effort taken by the School to make online learning both engaging and fun, especially for children this young.

Hi, Ma'am we have put it in the form too ma'am but just wanted to personally mention we were totally against screen time and have brought up both our kids with very little, as good as zero screen time, but the way Aisha is enjoying her online sessions it actually makes me ignore the negative side of it . She talks about you both all the time and sings the songs through the day as though she physically goes to school is unbelievable.

The 'Online schooling' that is currently being conducting is really lovely and I have my feedback and suggestions noted here: - The patience and hard work that the teachers are putting in for the smooth functioning is truly appreciated. - The motivational badges that Priti Teacher so well displays everyday and gives to the children really brings a smile to their faces and makes them look forward to earning those badges again. - The videos made and put up on Google classroom, to display the creativity and various activities of the children are so beautifully made. - The worksheets are well explained and easy for the children to understand (I'm sure you'll have put in a lot of effort to make them) and sending the song lyrics/videos on Google classroom to reiterate the topic to them at home is very helpful. - Giving kids hands on activities for concepts that are done would be a good thing to incorporate (as far as possible). My daughter loves the experience. - Children can be given an opportunity to build their public speaking confidence - by maybe speaking a line or two on the topic that is being done during the week. - Lastly, it would be nice for the school to set certain rules and communicate it to parents on the issues of un-muting their kids, to suddenly talk while the teachers are explaining or shout out answers out of turn. It sometimes demotivates the children who patiently wait for their turn. Overall the teachers and the school together are doing a lot to help our children during this unprecedented time. Thank you!

Hope you are doing well and staying safe and healthy. We are very thankful to you for providing an opportunity to our kid for being part of JML family. Honestly speaking initially we were bit nervous as to how will our kid will manage in a new school environment and that too in a new online class format. But just within few weeks time, we were surprised to see how our kid started enjoying school time and learning in a fun and interactive manner. Teacher’s support and well organised and planned approach made our kid’s onboarding very smooth. We would specifically like to thank you regarding the fun filled Friday’s session of Adv sir to which our kid looks forward to. Once again very heartfelt thanks from us for all your support and guidance.
